Our Concept

Through a mini-documentary series, Fearpedia will act as a digital story platform exploring the unique fears of three individuals (names of individuals). Each weekly episode follows three of our subjects as they attempt to overcome their fears through different commitments and processes. The pilot episode will introduce our three subjects, their distinctive fears, as well as how their daily activities are affected. Followed by the pilot, the remaining episodes will focus on the individuals and their progress as each subject will have two episodes dedicated to them. In these episodes, Fearpedia will explore what each individual has committed in order to control their fear and whether or not their attempts were successful in their journey to overcome their challenges.

Target Audience

 

Psychology Students 

 

Not all of us are Jordy Cernik - the man with no fear - each of us has our own phobias and fears.

The Fearpedia website is designed for the use of psychology students as they would be able to understand the ways in which the three chosen subjects overcome their uncommon fears. Through examining the unconventional methods of Fearpedia to heal or control the fears of the subjects, it can supplement psychology students with more information or, additionally, be viewed as entertainment by other general audiences. 

Social Media Strategy

One of our objectives as Fearpedia is to prompt a strong social media presence through the production of captivating and interesting content. As a result of a strong social media presence, Fearpedia hopes for the potential to compel a higher amount of audience to visit or follow both our website as well as our social media accounts. Subsequently, another objective includes the feasibility for more people to have a better understanding and comfort with the concept of 'fear'. Via the website and social media account, Fearpedia believes it may assist people in order to connect with others going through a similar situation or, better yet, help improve their challenging circumstances or feelings. 

 

To achieve optimum results of our objectives, Fearpedia will be implementing its social media strategy through Instagram due to its efficiency and popularity amongst our decided target audience. With this project, we aim to frequently monitor and adjust our content accordingly to the analytics and audience responses provided by Instagram. The tracking and measurement of such data will be able to impart helpful insights in order to adapt our content strategy appropriately to cater to a wider audience and generate a greater engagement, which will allow Fearpedia to publish content that can eventually help meet our objectives and delight the viewers.

Fearpedia will be following a regular and consistent posting schedule

  • 2 posts per week on Instagram 

  • 3 posts per week on the website 

    • 2 of them is the in-depth version of Instagram posts and 1 video

 

Our aim for this project is to produce content that will allow followers to remain captivated, engaged, and informed through:

  • Behind the scenes footage 

  • Fun facts and other informational subject matters 

  • Instagram story: templates, polling, questions, and teaser images
